 On September 22nd-25th, 2010, the II International Youth Innovation Forum “Interra 2010” will take place in Novosibirsk. To this day the Forum is one of the biggest behind the Urals ground for interaction of administration and business representatives and expert community on elaborating solutions and introducing new innovative practices into economy, administration and social sphere.

Associated events

Apart from the main events of the “Interra” Forum a series of big events for young and creative people will take place on
September 22-25 in Novosibirsk.
 

Expert Symposium

The event primarily appeals to young people as potential generators of new knowledge and new accomplishments. Leading Russian and world experts in the field of innovations, economic and political dynamics in Russia and abroad will give speeches and presentations at the Symposium.

Smart Region

The Conference participants will discuss how place marketing increases regions’ attractiveness and strengthens their innovation and investment potential. Special attention will be given to the influence of marketing strategies on enhancing investment attractiveness of the regions with high concentration of innovation businesses.

Festival of Science and Innovations

The aim of the Festival of Science and Innovations is popularization of science. One of the tasks is to motivate the young generation to get involved in scientific and research activity and give them an opportunity for direct communication with scientists, inventors and engineers. World level experts and representatives of high technology innovation companies will take part in the event.

Siberian Convention

The event acts as an instrument for searching, selecting and supporting young innovators, whose projects and ideas constitute the basis of the knowledge economy, economy of the future. At the Siberian Convention ideas meet investments. The Convention is a growing point for young inventors and researchers.

Festival of Contemporary Culture

The events of the project reflect the tendencies of the world culture. The Festival of Contemporary Culture gives the “Interra” Forum creative atmosphere necessary for appearance of innovative solutions in any field of activity – science, economy or business.

University Summit

The goal of the Summit is sharing experience, establishing cooperation in the sphere of education and making strategic decisions on developing mobility in the spheres of science and education. The key participant of the Summit is the SCO Network University uniting 53 universities of SCO countries. Education Ministers of 5 SCO member states are also expected to participate in the event.

Foresight Laboratory

Foresight Laboratory is aimed at human capital formation in Siberia. Foresight methods make it possible to reorient territory management towards innovative entrepreneurial model, where intellectual capital and people’s energy are the main source for development.

Leaders Forum

Leaders Forum is the All-Russian meeting of the President’s Program graduates. All-Russian Contact Information Exchange with the participation of business representatives from the European Union is a major event of the Forum. This is the first event of such magnitude in Russia since the start of the State Program on Management Training.

Parliamentary Hearings

The deputies will analyze foreign legislative systems stimulating innovative development, discuss the issues of Russian innovation economy formation and evaluate the legislation and regulatory framework in the sphere of innovations. The deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation are expected to participate in the event.

International Congress of Entrepreneurs

The Congress is intended to become a source of new opportunities for innovative development. Large companies’ representatives will share experience on how to enhance effectiveness in implementation of innovations. Russian politicians and businesspeople, transnational corporations, entrepreneurs from the Great Twenty countries and innovation companies from Siberia and other Russian regions will take part in the Congress.

Who are the organisers of the First International Youth Innovation Forum?

The Forum is organised and initiated by the Administration of the Novosibirsk Region, the Department of Science, Innovations, Informatisation and Communication of the Novosibirsk Region, the Department of Strategic Administration and Planning of the Novosibirsk Region, the Youth Affairs Office of the Novosibirsk region, Regional Marketing Agency, the Town Hall of Novosibirsk, leading universities and research institutes of Novosibirsk and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science.
 

What is the Forum’s objective?

In the “Year of Youth” Interra aims to become the key event in the line “Youth: Business and Innovations” in Russia. The First International Youth Innovation Forum will be a place for a dialogue between the representatives of innovative activity from different countries, the result of which should be new contacts and creation of new projects. Interra is a chance to meet interesting people from all over the world and find the investors.
