The 4th International Youth Innovation Forum “Interra” will be held in Novosibirsk on September, 14th – 15th, 2012.

“Interra” is one of the most attractive interregional and international events for discussing and understanding concepts and practical application of innovative development in economy and social sphere on the territory of Russia.

In 2012, the theme of the Forum will be “Innovations for life”. Its participants, experts and guests will turn their attention to innovative projects and ideas for improving the quality of life.

The main directions of the Forum are the following: “New Economy”, “City for Life”, “The Market of Competencies”, and “Politics and Management in the Field of Innovative Development”.

Peculiarities of the theme have determined the format of the Forum. In 2012, “Interra” is to become the laboratory forum combining scientific researches and practical experience. “Interra” is becoming the community of professionals, the smart event where one can not only present concepts, but also put them into action.

Besides the events of two main days of the Forum, its structure includes the events held at the preliminary stage, so-called “Pre-Interra”.

“Pre-Interra” will take place from April to August. It will include a competitive selection of projects and ideas aimed at solving actual issues specified by the ministries of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region as well as potential investors. Experts will select the best ideas and projects that will be brought up for an on-site defence and presentation at the Forum itself. According to the results of on-site defence, winners will be awarded with the grant of “Interra” in September.

Besides, “Pre-Interra” will include cultural and discussion activities intended for preparing events in terms of the main themes of the Forum.

The humanitarian program of the Forum will be traditionally rich. It will be mainly dedicated to the forming of new cultural meanings within a space of a city. New synthetic genres and multicultural art-projects will be used to show how city inscribes itself into the cultural context of history, how urban environment is filled by meanings and symbols, and how creative and innovation ideas are being implemented.
